Alpaca lives in harmony with nature. Unlike other livestock such as cows and sheep, they emit very little greenhouse gases. With their footpads, they do not destroy the ground by walking on it. They eat existing vegetation without uprooting. Not all wool-producing animals are blessed with environmental friendliness. Look at what has been happening in Mongolia for the past few years with the intensive breeding of cashmere goats. The farm is growing in the wrong place. The goats uproot vegetation and hooves treat the soil and prevent it from regenerating.
